Two practices. Equal weight.
Yetcon operates as an EPC water-supply contractor across Ethiopia and as a building-construction contractor in Addis Ababa. Each practice is staffed and resourced independently.
From source to standpipe.
Yetcon delivers donor-funded and government-commissioned water supply schemes across Ethiopia. Engineering, procurement, and construction handled by one contractor, with a single line of accountability.
Rural and small-town water supply schemes
End-to-end EPC delivery of community water systems: source development, treatment where required, transmission, storage, and reticulation. Designed for community management and long-term operability.
Borehole drilling, development, and equipping
Site selection support, drilling to hydrogeological specification, well development, test pumping, water quality testing, and full electromechanical equipping including pump, rising main, and headworks.
Reservoir and elevated tank construction
Reinforced concrete service reservoirs, ground tanks, and elevated steel or concrete tanks. Hydraulic design, structural design, construction, and commissioning to specification.
Transmission and distribution pipeline installation
DI, HDPE, GI, and uPVC pipeline systems. Trench excavation, bedding, joint testing, hydrostatic pressure testing, disinfection, and as-built documentation.
Pump-station design and installation
Centrifugal and submersible pump-station design, electrical and control panel installation, generator sets where grid is unreliable, and SCADA-ready instrumentation where the specification requires it.
Rehabilitation and upgrading of existing schemes
Condition assessment, hydraulic re-analysis, leak detection, replacement of failed assets, and capacity upgrading. Practised in handover from previous contractors and from community-managed systems.
Mid-rise discipline in Addis Ababa.
A focused commercial and institutional building practice. The portfolio is intentionally constrained: mid-rise, reinforced concrete, designed to published code, delivered on programme.
Mid-rise commercial and mixed-use buildings
Reinforced concrete frame buildings up to typical mid-rise heights for the Addis Ababa market. Full construction and finishing, working from approved structural and architectural drawings.
Institutional buildings
Schools, clinics, and offices for government and INGO clients. Programme-driven sequencing, with consideration for client occupancy and phasing requirements.
Structural design and construction
Design and construction conform to EBCS, Eurocode 2 (EN 1992), and BS 8110. Independent design check available where the contract structure requires separation of design and contracting roles.
Concrete works, masonry, and finishing
Cast in-situ reinforced concrete to mix-design, masonry, plastering, tiling, painting, and architectural finishing. Quality control via on-site cube testing and independent third-party verification where specified.
